FRED Finally Finds His Forever Home

FredIt took seven months, but adorable ol' Fred has now found his forever family with Lloyd, Ashley, and canine sister Emily.

Fred was left behind to fend for himself when his owners in Tampa moved, so he got picked up by Hillsborough Animal Services. Thanks to volunteer Nicole S. for pulling him out of the shelter. Turned out he was high heartworm positive and suffered breathing problems for having had it gone untreated for so long. Volunteer Christina S. watched carefully over Fred as he went through his heartworm treatment and nursed him lovingly back to health.

In addition to health problems, Fred had his age (9 years old) going against his odds of getting adopted.

FredNewHomeLucky for Fred, that didn't deter Lloyd and Ashley from wanting to meet him after losing another DRTB senior Dal they had adopted (Conan who was renamed Marley). Although they were looking for a purebred Dalmatian, once they met Fred, they knew he was going to be a part of their family. It looks like Fred likes to do nothing, but lay around, however Lloyd says he loves to chase squirrels and tennis balls. He gets along well with their senior dog Emily and life is now better than ever for Fred.
