Finally - A Home of His Own

champpirate2It took a long time and a lot of hard work on the part of volunteers Mary Ellen and Jordan, but now Champ has his own fairy tale ending.

champpirateChamp, aka Power, came to us from Broward County Animal Services thanks to Linda M. He was heartworm positive, not neutered, and not too friendly with other male dogs. Months of dedication and training from his foster home turned him into a true, totally healthy, gentleman.

His beautiful blue eyes and creative photos gained him a lot of attention on Petfinder but the perfect home didn't come about until his debut on a tv spot champnewhomepromoting the fall Adoption Expo. We received an application immediately following his appearance and it turned out to be the perfect home for our boy.

Champ_Xmas_2011Fran & family let us know that "we're on day 3 and everything is great." Champ was getting along fine with big furry sister Bailey. "He is very obedient.  This AM after he ate and I petted him around his chin and ears, I definitely heard a groan of pleasure".   Fran also writes that Mary Ellen did a wonderful job with Champ. We couldn't agree more!
