One Very Popular Little Spot!

It's not very often - in fact I can't think of once - that we have a Dal adopted before she is even ready to go. But this little throw-away spotted cutie has stolen the hearts of everyone she has met.

"Blaze" as we named her came to us from very rural Putnam Co. Animal Services where she was found as a stray. Thanks to volunteer Lee S., we were able to get her out of there before her time was up. Although he fell head over heels for her, he already has his hands full with 5 rescues. He took her to be checked by our vet and then to Paw Prince for temporary boarding while we searched for a foster home. Since Blaze tested positive (thankfully low positive) for heartworms, she really needed a quiet place to go through the treatment. Next volunteer angel Judy F. agreed to take Blaze in.

And in the meantime, a very nice seasoned Dalmatian owner and lover contacted us looking for another Dalmatian to take a place in his heart to fill the spot his other Dals who have passed on did. DRTB's Foster Coordinator Sherry set up the meeting and it was love at first sight. Gary spends his days between Florida and Alaska and his spot goes everywhere with him.

So Blaze now has a loving home excitedly awaiting her arrival when she is ready. Lots of fun adventures in the future for this precious little spot. And a life that she so deserved from the beginning. Hopefully he'll send us a lot of pictures along the way!
