This poor Panama City Dal-gal's time was up at the shelter- only our request stopped her from being euthanaized. She is a senior purebred Dalmatian, guesstimated around 10+ years, found in a field as a stray, very skinny, with hip problems, but very sweet. We also knew her to be heartworm positive, but with her advanced age, treatment would be too harsh.
Princess Lulu, as she is now called, was taken in by a very good hearted person who is looking after her until her final days. "Lulu has a fused front leg and hops like a cripple, but she has a heart of gold" according to her Mom... "she is always greating us at the door when we come home".
UPDATE January 24, 2012: Lulu Princess crossed the rainbow bridge today... her poor cripple body finally wore out. Said Janet, her foster mom, "It is amazing how these animals help us more than we realize." DoGspeed little Lulu... run free like the wind!
